Met Gala 2013: Worst Dressed

Last night was the night fashion diehards wait for every year, the Met Gala 2013. The creme de la creme of fashion & entertainment gather for Vogue's annual big bash and try to outdo one another in their fabulous outfits. This year's theme was 'PUNK: Chaos to Couture', which got me very excited, and it really made for some interesting choices from stars trying to incorporate the theme into their look. That being said, there was a whole lot of NO going on last night.  The worst trends I noticed were pant-dresses (really?!?), slutty black cutouts, and futuristic eye makeup. There were so many to choose from, but here are my worst dressed of the night:

I absolutely love Nicole Richie's whole look from the hair down, but that hair!  What was she thinking, she looks like a mad scientist!! Ugh, ruined such a beautiful look!

Somebody needs to stage an intervention for Madonna.  Girl, I'm going to get real here for a moment.  You have MAYBE 5 years left of being "sexy" (some would argue 0 years), you really need to transition your image into something more mature to suit that!  Look at Helen Mirren, the woman is in her 60s and always looks banging, without looking like a teenage grandma slut.  Please stop.

Prepare yourself for Beyonce, pant dresses, and many more horrors after the jump:
I just hated this whole look, I expect so much better from Beyonce.  Hate the boots and the gloves.

This is a satin, leather, cupcake mess.

"Hi, see this swirly thing on my dress?  Can you make my eyes match that?"  Probably seemed like a good idea at the time, not so much in the execution.

Oh god, the dreaded PANT DRESS.  Several celebs wore some version of this last night, all I have to say is DEAR GOD WHY?!? I don't know but I never want to see these ever again!!

Ok, at least this was actual pants, and not a pant dress, but yet I still hate this.  The cut is extremely unflattering, and the crotch is confusing me.

J Woww, is that you? Another example of a horrid pant dress. This would have been beautiful if they had just made one of the underlayers opaque and got rid of the pants. I just can't approve of a pant dress, ever.

Another victim of the terrible eye makeup going around.

Honourable mentions (because I have to stop somewhere): Elizabeth Banks, Chloe Sevigny, Lily Collins, Coco Rocha, Dakota Fanning (felt way to pervy looking at her in the slutty cutout dress), Amanda Seyfried
