Super exciting news my fellow Canucks! Canadian affordable fashion powerhouse Joe Fresh have finally announced on Twitter their plans to launch online shopping in Canada. You no longer need to hit several stores trying to find that coveted piece still available in your size, soon everything will be available at your fingertips! Sadly, there's no details yet on when this will be launched, but I'm satisfied in the meantime to know that it's on it's way!

Lookbook: Isabel Marant for H&M

Of course, the day after I post a sneak peak at the Isabel Marant for H&M collection, the full lookbook is released, and it looks amazing! It definitely has that Marant signature bohemian rock n roll cool vibe. I am loving the leather trousers, embellished jackets, printed pants, in fact, I pretty much love everything!

Vogue sums up the lookbook:

"In the accompanying lookbook, Alek Wek, Lou Doillon, Milla Jovovich and Constance Jablonski model pieces that echo Marant's Parisian bohemian aesthetic perfectly. An embellished trophy jacket is worn with leather cropped trousers; a loose peasant top with printed jeans; and mannish outerwear with white trousers and slouchy boots with fringed detailing.  Start making your wishlist now, before the collection lands in stores on November 14. "

Prices and full lookbook can be found here, November 14th cannot come quick enough!

Sneak Peak: Isabel Marant for H&M

The Emmys on Sunday may have been a total fashion snooze fest in my humble opinion, so let's move on to more exciting things. Finally, pictures are starting to drop of the new Isabel Marant for H&M collaboration, and it's looking fantastic! The collection is due to hit stores November 15th (and online where available), and I cannot wait. I love the embellished jacket & heels, and the flirty wrap dress. According to online, the collection will also include tees, sweats, embroidered dresses (inspired by her fall 2012 runway), and “shaggy sweaters” made of loops of wool yarn that come both oversize and cropped. Shouldn't be long before the full lookbook is released, bring it on!

Style Crush: Olivia Wilde at TIFF 2013

Another Toronto International Film Festival has come and gone, and with it the celebs and glitz & glamor, but I'm still recovering from the fashion frenzy happening in my backyard! I was going to do a general best dressed of TIFF round-up, but then I started to realize that Miss Olivia Wilde here was going to take up most of the list anyway haha. Olivia made the party rounds and hit a few red carpets, and managed to look incredible each & every time. It's hard to pick a favorite look of the bunch, but I think  I love the yellow Valentino gown best, mostly because it sticks out from all the blue.  Which look is your favorite?

Also, just a reminder that today is your LAST DAY to enter our GreenEyeRocks pendent giveaway, win a stunning one of a kind necklace, details here

(From left to right: Olivia in Marios Schwab sweater/dress & Jimmy Choo heels; Olivia in Antonio Berardi dress & Stuart Weitzman heels; Olivia in Rag & Bone top, Michael Kors skirt, & Jimmy Choo heels; Olivia in Valentino gown & Jimmy Choo heels; Olivia in Mary Katrantzou dress & Jimmy Choo heels)

Peter Pilotto for Target Announced!!

Huge news frugalistas!! The day after the amazing 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection dropped, Target has announced their new designer collaboration with the incredible Peter Pilotto! Oh snap! I cannot WAIT to see this, Target is really killing it lately with these collaboration lines. In addition, Target is partnering with Net-A-Porter to launch the collection with international shipping, so us Canadians who cannot necessarily reach a Target store, are not out of luck.

The line will reportedly include apparel, swimwear and accessories featuring “complex prints in a signature palette of blues, greens, warm reds and oranges.” The best part: Most items will clock in under $60, with nearly 70 items ranging in price from $14.99 to $79.99 for apparel and swimwear and $16.99 to $39.99 for accessories. Amazing!!

Peter Pilotto is known for their bright colours, intricate patterns, and interesting cut-outs, and is adored by celebrities and the fashion elite. This teaser trailer gives the slightest hints at what we can expect, mainly a look at what patterns we'll see. I've barely recovered from Phillip Lim, but this collection drops February 9, so we have some time for wallet replenishment until then.  So excited for more images of what's to come!

Cause I'm TNT

Watch me exploooode!

How rad is this Christopher Kane atomic bomb tank dress?! I found this bad boy on eBay, and knew immediately it had to be mine. It's been on and off hot and cold weather this past week in Toronto, but yesterday it was cool enough to break out the leather. I do think my All Saints Walker leather jacket may just be, the perfect leather jacket. It's got a tough, motorcycle cut, but has just a touch of girlyness with it's quilted shoulders. I could not possibly love it more, and can't wait to style it with everything this Fall.

Also, don't forget about our giveaway! You could win a free GreenEyeRocks pendant valued at over $150!

Fall is Coming

Sadly, summer is reaching its end. After Labor Day, it really cooled off in Toronto. I'm okay with it though as long as winter takes it's sweet time, because the end of summer means one thing... Fall clothes! Fall is my very favorite season for fashion, as you get to break out your darker colours, layers, cozy sweaters, and leather jackets. But we aren't quite there yet, as I was still able to comfortably wear a maxi dress yesterday with a light denim jacket. I am so in love with this necklace from GreenEyeRocks, it is so bright & eye catching with it's neon accents & vintage rhinestones, it's definitely a stunner.

Are you excited for Fall?

DIY: Silver & Pastels Manicure

If you haven't yet discovered the magic that is Pinterest, then you, my friend, are missing out. There are so many fun projects, independent artists, and great inspirations to discover. I recently saw a photo of a fun manicure that involved random patterns, and immediately wanted to try it out and make it my own. It ended up being super easy, but it does take patience as you need to let each colour dry before applying the next colour on top.

Style Crush: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at GQ Men of the Years Awards 2013

Had to take a minute to shine the spotlight on Ms Rosie Huntington-Whiteley here at the GQ Men of the Year Awards this week. Rosie showed up in a white PVC Versace stunner, and oh-so-covetable silver python Louboutin heels that I need immediately. Obviously Rosie is so gorgeous that she needs little help, but I love that she kept the rest of her look simple & natural since it's easy to go from chic to tacky in PVC, though maybe a dainty bracelet or ring would have been nice. But overall, I'm in love!

Kimono Summer

We finally arrived back last night from our quick trip to Windsor for the long weekend. Going home to visit friends & family is always amazing, but I'm wiped out from being on the go the whole trip. On Saturday, we drove over to Amherstburg to see the Tall Ships that were docked there for the weekend. So cool! They were there in honour of The War of 1812 and those who fought, and there were booths all along the water celebrating the history of the small town in the war (hence my silly cardboard hat). It was extremely muggy outside, so I decided to wear this lightweight kimono inspired dress from Zara. It is very light and breezy, perfect for hot sweaty weather, and the pattern is just gorgeous.

Now I just need a vacation to recover from my vacation ;)

DIY: Snow Globes

With the upcoming long weekend, I'll be headed home to see family & friends I haven't seen for a while. I needed to come armed with gifts, and scoured the Internet for ideas. Home made presents are always extra thoughtful, and usually more fun for the gift receiver as well as the gift giver, not to mention great when you're on a budget. I stumbled across this DIY from Martha Stewart, and knew immediately I could make a fun, personalized version for my friends. Instead of Christmas trees, I used fun plastic dinosaurs & animals. Everything used here was purchased at Dollarama, and it was super easy! I highly recommend trying this yourself for a super fun & unique gift for a loved one. This is a great project for kids as well!

Colour & the City

It has been hot hot hot these past few days, and humidity is not a girl's friend. All this sunshine is making me want to wear bright colours, and drink delicious cocktails! Thankfully the humidity is down a bit, so I threw on my brightest summer dress, a crisp white blazer, and some hot Manolos I grabbed at a bargain price on eBay, for some well deserved patio drinks. I'm super excited to head home to visit my family this up coming long weekend, what do you have planed for the holiday?

Clover Canyon

Yes, I am obsessed with prints, so it's no surprise that when I spotted California brand Clover Canyon, it was love at first sight.  Designed and produced in Los Angeles, each Clover Canyon collection reflects the eclectic, joyful spirit of California through vivid prints and streamlined silhouettes.  So not only are their bold patterns absolutely stunning, but the clothes are easygoing & completely wearable. Celebrities and taste-makers flock to the brand, such as Zoe Saldana, Solange Knowles, Olivia Wilde, & the Kardashians. As well, they design and make everything in house, which is a rare find these days. Check out some of their dreamy designs below, and then see the rest here.

Style Crush: Carrie Bradshaw's Best Moments

Lately, I have been really missing Sex and the City, and have been re-watching all the old episodes on DVD. The show captured the hearts of women everywhere, but no one more so than Carrie Bradshaw. Who didn't want to pick up and move to a rent-controlled NYC apartment, brunch with their best girlfriends and their gay BFF, and stroll around in vintage furs and sky high Manolos? Carrie became a huge fashion icon, and for good reason. Below are 13 of my favorite Carrie looks from the show & movies, but really, Carrie can almost do no wrong.

In season one, Carrie spent most of her time in an amazing vintage raccoon fur.  This picture of the girls at Yankees stadium may be my favorite picture of them ever, even at a baseball game they bring on the glamor.  I think if Carrie had one motto, it would be "Always Be Glamorous".

Glitter Makes the World Go Round

Everyone has those items in their closet that make them super happy. It might be a great pair of expensive shoes, a pretty necklace, or a funny t-shirt.  For me, one of those pieces would have to be these super fun glitter booties I picked up at H&M last year. They always put a big smile on my face! I also love the way they look with my Sabine dress from Aritzia. This dress is one of the most versatile pieces I own, I've worn it to everything from brunch with my girls, to interviews, to summer weddings. Honestly, I might have to buy it in another colour!

What in your closet makes you super happy?

Three Floor Fashion

Jeans and a T-shirt are great for everyday wear, but sometimes you just want to put on a dress and be fabulous. Enter, London brand Three Floor Fashion. Adored by celebrities like Amanda Seyfried, Emma Roberts, & Anna Faris, their ultra feminine and ultra cool cocktail dresses are sure to grab everyone's attention wherever you choose to wear yours. I love the lace accents, bright colours, and edgy details. A little bit girly, and a little bit rock n roll, just how I like it. They also make great jackets, tops, & skirts, and have a collaboration coming up with London jewelry label Moxham, maker of awesome oversized metal statement pieces. Check out some of my favourite looks below, and then check out the whole collection here.

Never Break the Chain

Toronto is a huge, multicultural city, and one of my favorite features are the cool, graffiti walls. This one in particular of several George W's, (at least I think it's him) standing in a row, pledging allegiance, is one of my favorites in today's political climate.  Another one of my favorite things right now is this wicked leg chain from Litter SF. I spotted this brand & their amazing body jewelry on Shark Tank a while back, and I knew immediately I had to have a leg garter chain. It adds instant cool to any outfit.

What do you think, would you wear a leg chain?
